Walter Preisig
The Suspension Shop is located in Adelaide, South Australia, and was established by Walter Preisig to service the market in Australia with a new generation of YSS gas shocks that are continuously under development by him in partnership with YSS in Thailand.
Walter has been developing racing suspension for over 25 years, gaining a wealth of experience in suspension technics, customer service and motorcycle maintenance.
YSS uses only quality materials and the latest wizardry in suspension technology to manufacture the world class YSS gas shock absorbers, maintaining quality control during the research stage, planning phase and the manufacturing process.

Philosophy
“ It's unwise paying too much, but worse paying too little. By paying too much, you lose a little money. By paying too little, you could lose everything, because what you've bought would be incapable of doing what it was bought for. The law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it's wise to add a bit for the risk you run and if you do that, you can pay for something better. "

469 Shock - 3D-Swingable Body
A new motorbike is an expensive purchase. This however does not guarantee that every part on the bike is of good quality. In our experience we found that manufacturers cut costs by using cheaper shocks. Quite inappropriate, considering the shocks ensure the tyres keep contact with the road surface.
Because we believe and we know there is room for improvement, Hyperpro has developed the new 3D shock and recently the Type 462 shock. We are able to guarantee a one hundred percent quality, because this shock is manufactured in-house.
The many light-weight aluminium parts have been CNC machined in our own workshop as well. We never use (more fragile) casted parts for our products.
How does a bike rider know this shock is better? The length of the Hyperpro shock is easy to adapt and it has the option of a hydraulic spring preload adjuster. In addition, the incoming as well as the outgoing damping is completely adjustable for both high and low speeds.

Type 460/360 Emulsion Shock
This is a basic shock with all the benefits of a high performance shock and great value for money.
Want to shave a few bucks from your suspension budget? No room for a remote reservoir? Emulsion shocks are a great option. Just like a monotube shock with a remote or piggyback reservoir, you'll find oil and nitrogen inside. The difference is that the emulsion shock does not divide the nitrogen and oil. It mingles and emulsifies inside the shock. Since nitrogen expands very little when heated, the mixture provides great performance.

Type 461 Full Adjustable Shock With Reservoir On Hose
This fully adjustable shock has a reservoir on a hose and is designed as a full grand prix racing shock with all the advantages of low stiction, CNC machined 7075 aircraft alloy body and infinite spring preload. The reservoir is attached with a special high pressure hose for applications where space is limited or accessibility to the reservoir is difficult.

Type 462 Fully Adjustable Shock
This high tech shock with the newest design answers to the highest demands on damping. The compression and rebound damping are both completely adjustable with high and low speed adjustments for compression damping. Comes with Black or Purple Springs.

Type 466 Decarbon Shock
A decarbon shock is used when you have to mount the shock in horizontal position.
Ride handling and control are what a shock absorber provides. Compromise in any one area may create a problem in another. Decarbon Shocks react quicker to road conditions without sacrificing ride comfort. Maintaining tyre contact with the road ensures a safer more enhanced and controlled driving experience.

Type 467/367 MX Body Shock
The Type 467/367 shocks have an "MX" body. This well shaped shock is fully adjustable and is used as an application for Twin (stereo) purposes and on bikes where the design and fitment of this shock can be well used. This shock type design is a piggyback cast alloy connecting the reservoir to the body.

Type 469 3D Shock
The 469 shock is named 3D due to the design possibilities of this shock by developing a motorbike specific shock. This full adjustable shock has proven qualities on the racetracks and roads throughout the world for several years. The successor of this shock will be Type 462.

The easiest way to prove this, is by carrying out a braking distance test. A motorcycle equipped with progressive springs reduces the braking distance by 15 to 20 percent in comparison to a bike with linear springs. In addition, motoring performance improves considerably as a result of progressive springs. Small bumps and irregularities in the road surface get absorbed immediately, large bumps or holes are intercepted by the more rigid part of the spring. This results in a motor bike that is faster on the racing circuit and provides better safety on the public road.
