“ It's unwise paying too much, but worse paying too little. By paying too much, you lose a little money. By paying too little, you could lose everything, because what you've bought would be incapable of doing what it was bought for. The law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it's wise to add a bit for the risk you run and if you do that, you can pay for something better. "

Mr Motocross Legend Dean Burt (NSW)
Dean Burt - 763 - Suzuki RM400N
Dean Burt, the 40 year old Mr Motocross Legend of Australia, has raced in New Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii and many other locations and recently put his best on show in Broadford, Victoria.
Dean began riding motorcycles when he was about 7 years of age and started racing by the time he was as young as 10 years old. Dean Burt's first race bike was a secondhand twin-shock Kawasaki KX80, which he raced in Junior MX from age 10 years to 16 years. During this time Dean won state titles and also an Australian Junior 125cc title.
At the young age of sixteen years, Dean decided to move on into Senior Racing and within a short 6 months racing in Seniors, he advanced to racing in A Grade - one of the youngest people in Australia to be promoted to A Grade at the time - what an excellent achievement!
Dean did race for most of the major motorcycle manufacturers from age 16 years to 20 years. During these important 4 years he was winning in many major MX and SX events and, in 1987 he won the Indoor SX in both 125cc and 250cc classes in the one night - the lucky talented first person ever to win both classes on the same night - incredible. Also that year, Dean placed himself 7th in the Mr MX Series.
The year after, in 1988, Dean Burt rode for the Brian Collins MX Team with Craig Dack as his team mate and came second in the 125cc class that was run in conjunction with the Mr MX Series, which was run over five rounds across Australia. Dean also won countless other SX and MX events that year.

Amongst others, Dean's race schedule included racing the Finke Desert Race twice and the successful participation in the Thumpernats Series for a few years, which he managed to win one year as well.
Currently Dean Burt is racing a Suzuki RM400 N as well as a Suzuki RM125 T.
In 2009 he won the EVO Open Australian Championships on the Suzuki RM400, and in 2010 he won the EVO 125cc Australian Championships on his Suzuki RM125 in Broadford, Victoria.
